Crittenden County Government – Crittenden County Judge-Executive Fred Brown is the chief elected and administrative official of the county government. Judge Brown works full-time, overseeing the county’s road department, animal control services and other activities, while administering the appropriations for elected offices such as the County Clerk, Jailer, Sheriff, and Property Valuation Administrator. The Judge-Executive also presides over meetings of the Crittenden County Fiscal Court, made up of six Magistrates who represent individual sections of the county. The current Magistrates are: Helen McConnell, Curt Buntin, Glenn Underdown, Percy Cook, Greg West, and Dan Wood.  For more information about the county government click here.


Property Valuation Administrator – Ronnie Heady is Crittenden County’s PVA. Information about property in the county is available through the PVA’s website, crittendenpva.com.

Crittenden County Economic Development Corporation – Located in the Marion-Crittenden County Ed-Tech Training Center, the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is a joint public/private organization dedicated to providing job growth and enhancing workforce education and skills in the local area. The EDC’s website is crittendencountyedc.com.

Marion Tourism Commission & Crittenden County Chamber of Commerce – These two agencies are located in the Welcome Center at the City Hall Complex. Each is committed to promoting and assisting the business community in Marion and Crittenden County. They share a website, marionkentucky.us.

Pennyrile Area Development District – The regional planning and development agency for Marion and Crittenden County is the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD). The PADD provides technical assistance to the city and county governments on mapping/GIS, grant writing, comprehensive planning, housing, transportation, and water-waste water issues. The PADD’s website is peadd.org.
